Privacy Policy
Kept keeps your reminder data on your device.
Kept is a local-first reminder application. This policy explains what information the app handles and where that information goes.
Information stored on your device
Kept stores the information needed to provide its reminder and History features:
- promise or action text you enter;
- reminder times, selected weekdays, and timezone information;
- completed or missed results; and
- optional short proof notes you enter after completing a promise.
Kept stores this information in the app’s private on-device database. Kept does not transmit it to the developer or to a Kept server.
Data collection and sharing
Kept does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, tracking, or social-network SDKs. Kept does not collect, sell, rent, or share your personal data with the developer or third parties.
Apple, Google, your device manufacturer, or the store from which you obtained the app may process device, purchase, diagnostic, or store-account information under their own terms and privacy policies. That platform processing is separate from Kept’s local reminder data.
Device permissions
Kept requests notification permission so the operating system can display reminders and their response actions. Scheduled reminders are local notifications. Kept does not register your device for Kept remote push notifications.
Kept does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, files, advertising identifier, or precise alarm privileges.
Retention and deletion
Your promises and History remain on your device until you clear the app’s data or uninstall the app. Archiving a promise stops its future reminders and retains its existing History.
Kept has no account or server, so the developer has no remote copy to access or delete. You can remove all Kept data through your device’s app-data controls or by uninstalling Kept.
Children’s privacy
Kept is a general productivity tool and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users.
Changes to this policy
If Kept’s data practices change, the developer will update this policy and the corresponding App Store and Google Play disclosures before releasing the changed version.
